A couple of thing I learned this week

A couple of thing I learned this week.
•When you get a pet, name them after characters from the scriptures. "Oh you're dog is so cute, and that name, Kishkumin is so interesting....where did you come up with that??" ...."hah, well let me tell you about this Book of Mormon I once read....."
•the baptism of fire and of the Holy Spirit is the immersion of that feeling from the Spirit that confirms you have been cleansed.
•The temple has a really amazing and organized lost and found

Sister Smith is still my best friend

•Being a seminary teaching is going to rigorous work!
•I can eat a BBQ burger with a white shirt and NOT spill anything on myself

•Wards in these places have enough youth to have a WARD youth conference. Not just stake ones!!
-They have the best testimony meetings ever though, youth do.
 (Baptismal fount at cupcake wars)

- They are still youth
•Arizona gets a lot of snowbirds

•Service is the best way to invite the Spirit and soften hearts!
•you become converted after you repent, and so to continuously be converted to The Lord, you must keep repenting!
•a member of the 70's wife thinks I have a small waist.
•Dogs tend to go out of their way to make sure they are facing you while they sneeze in the middle of a lesson.
•studying Preach My Gospel makes you feel pumped to share the gospel, and understand why you want to!

Everyone needs to hear The Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ! Even Wishbone and friends!

Everyone needs to hear The Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ!
Even Wishbone and friends!

Beautiful AZ

Also, sometimes, it's like people don't want us to see them......
Did I tell you already that a family here says we're Flora, Fauna, and Merriweather?? Sister Chase loves green and sister Dunn wears almost as much blue as I wear pink. (: so yeah! We're fairies.

And sorry! I didn't really check the email last week before I forwarded it >.< "10%" of our meetings are dedicated to things after the mission. So in district meeting, someone will come up and teach us about making a good resume, or how to buy a car, or how to date when we get home. It's something sister Jenkins came up with:)
She actually came in and did a training about music and also gave a 10% about how we need to be careful about what music we need to go back to listening to after the mission. That was at zone training.

I was sick again this week. For the whole week until a little while after a I finally got a blessing on Friday. It was great(: we worked as much  as possible anyway and only went home early once or twice I think. We had tons of lessons this week! We are teaching our members because we want to love them more and strengthen them. I love that you have the sisters over for fhe. Teaching is so much and makes our little worlds go round. Especially when we come into an area, they say they want the missionaries to only teach and the members to find. So we are going to teach the members and they are going to be reminded to to find! We are having fun, and getting closer to the wards and yesterday, we had magic neighbors cancel their trip to Michigan just to come to church!!!!! They are probably going to start taking lessons too and investigating! And they just fit in so perfectly!! It was amazing, and the ward members totally welcomed them in completely and they absolutely loved it.
I hope everyone is loving each other. And that I get to sing with you when we get home! That will be fun, and so will water activities!! Those aren't allowed as a missionary......but I miss the water. I'm so landlocked, it's the worst. I want sushi!! And the beach!
Don't worry, I still adore Arizona.
Look!
It's beautiful

Also, I think you need to find out who Rob Gardener is. I feel like he's the Mormon Andrew Lloyd Webber. ...sometimes I'm dramatic. We went to a YSA performance of one of his pieces and it was about Joseph Smith. It's where, Savior Redeemer of My Soul (in 17 miracles) comes from. Just good music!!

Ummmmm um umm, it rained this week!! For all of the missionaries in the apartment complex, our work out in the morning the other day was playing in the rain!!!

I loved feeling better, because I was able to focus again on my studies!! I looooove studying! What I learned significantly this week was about how America is about to be destroyed! Like, it's stuff you "know" but when the spirit witnesses to you the eternal nature of things, it's cool. God said this land was promised and He would sweep the wicked off the face of it. It happened to the Nephites, and is happening now! We need to remember God, and we aren't really allowed to be blessed and live here goshdangit!

Cuddle my piggie for me!
I did a bad thing and now my companion can't stop saying "your mom" or "boop"
LOVE YOU MADRE

I have decided I never ever want to be rich.

I have decided I never ever want to be rich. No, I don't want to be poor either, but I think being really rich is more dangerous and limiting than not.

Sometimes I am really grateful I don't have to suffer those kind of things. Why has God blessed me so much!? Seriously, I have health, I have  a sound mental state lol, I have love, and a good family, friends, I have all my limbs, I can't hear well but I'm not deaf, I have talents, I have the Gospel--why why why??

Um, at young women's we gave a lesson about how to keep journals and make them cute with sticky notes and other stuff!

We have a cool ward mission leader and he also is FRIENDS WITH ROB GARDENER!!!! Danielle said she got her lamb of God cd! I hope she shares with you when you see each other.

The Phoenix temple is having an open house!! I don't know if we will get to go yet, but I hope my members will take friends there!!! I pray I can go.

I don't know what else happened this week......................................

We went to a wedding reception. We had people come home from their summer breaks! I played with someone's viola. I didn't know I would miss the violin!

I GOT A PACKAGE!! thank you thank you thank you. The office couple loves it. They thought my wishbone was soooo cute, and I asked if it was always entertaining to watch us open packages. They said "sometimes. we don't see it too often but usually it isn't this cool. .....who was that one sister, though...who got a massive box of toilet paper??" hahahahah ME ME! they think we're hilarious.
I love youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu ding ding ding

writing notes and doodling when I suddenly got the distinct impression to go up and bare my testimony,

YEAH YEAH YEAH FARMERS MARKET DINNERS. I can't wait to get their goat cheese, I made a dish with goat cheese this week and it was heavenly. I can't wait to cook all the time actually and especially with market supplies, fresh fruits and veggies. Having your pantry that's filled with spices and other staples would be nice again too :P but that is forever away. I'm glad the ward thinks it's been a sufficient amount to time to have been lacking my presence, nevertheless, my return is still a good 8 months, not any day now. That's funny. It does feel like I've lived a whole lifetime as a missionary. But I'm still not as good of a missionary and sure hope I am prepared to return home a better person. I don't want to go back to all the silly things I used to think mattered. Like.....5 episodes of Doctor Who all at once at midnight. When you said you went to a new doctor, I thought you meant a new regenerated Doctor in the show. Sad day....but don't fret I won't watch it so much when I get home. (Hold me to that!)

Anyway, so yes! I made dinner a couple of times this week for my knowledge project and studied with a couple of young women. I love this plan we've devised in doing personal progress so we get to study for more than just one hour a day! Ha. Because we're proselyting still and teaching the youth who need to be strengthen and converted to the gospel so they will share their light and testimonies with their friends!  I'm so excited you're finishing the Book of Mormon!! Congrats! You're the coolest mom ever :D

We have to teach someone(: and the members need the gospel so we are teaching it to them. It's great! We have an amazing family actually who we took to the visitors center and it was such a good time!

Two of the teens got up and bore their testimonies yesterday lol actually it was really cool. I was sitting there in the meeting, writing notes and doodling when I suddenly got the distinct impression to go up and bare my testimony, and I was like "but I haven't prepared anything.....but ok!" So I went up and The Lord filled my mouth and my thoughts and what I know came out well, and then this girl who I was talking about, got up and said "I told myself if a sister missionary got up, I would too." !!!!! And it was beautiful, and then her brother came up which was a surprise and was awesome!! It was about missionary work too!! Yaaaaay

And yes, people are starting to come home, so it might start being easier for things like that.

Facebook is kind of successful. I can keep in contact more easily with people I need to here, but I haven't taught much. A little, which is awesome, but mostly I am just helping keep the cyber world less evil!(:

We ran over a cactus this week too. Had to spend a good half hour plucking the choya out of Steve's tire.

I love you so much!!! MWAH. Ding ding ding
