I was reading in preach My Gospel this morning all the missionary quotes from latter-day Presidents of the church, and thought it was so interesting how they've always been pushing missionary work. I think that's so great. It just seems like a bigger deal now I think because the way the world is turning, nobody wants to do it so it sticks out more. But with the Plan of Salvation and the pattern of apostasy and and restoration it's so clear that the only reason we're born in these days just because we're trusted with the huge responsibility to share the Gospel. Today is the day the Gospel should be cover the whole Earth. God's just up there waiting for us to work! I mean...He has His timing and whatnot...but I love how the whole point of the last dispensation is to finalize the work of building God's kingdom. That's why He made the Earth for us was for it to become His kingdom and we've had plenty of probation time to repent and make up for the Fall. Let's just use the Atonement!! Yeah yeah.(:
If everyone could get it like the McD..s..... :3 Jk. Everyone is different. I just love them so much! They'll be baptized on the 24th now. It was so funny! We prayed for a baptism date and Sister Dunn felt it would be that weekend and our baptisms are typically on Saturday so she suggested the 25th. I got the impression that it ought to be earlier. So I asked if they'd be ready by the 18th. it wouldn't have worked at all, and Sister Dunn felt it shouldn't be then for sure. So I prayed some more and felt we could extend the 25th to them. And then all the scheduling issues come up and it's the 24th, and while I was talking to Heavenly Father the other night He was like "haha remember when...." and I was like "....hahah you sneaky God you."
Sorry, I really hope that wasn't too sacrileg. That's just how we communicate sometimes.
Anyway, they'e planning to take us to the Phoenix Temple next week. The day before we might have transfers. I can't wait!!!!!!
Interviews with President were wonderful. He seemed extra intrigued with my motivation to be obedient and work hard and with my methods of keeping myself from being depressed or anxious. It was a good conversation(: He's the best mission president ever. he tells my I only say that because he's the only one I've got.
And ok, so Sister S is from Canada and the rest are Mesa natives. We do random missionary things. She and Grace will go on splits with us sometimes or let us do service. We also talk to Grace in mission prep. And Emma is my favorite person to talk to if we make it to mutual. And we always see each other at church. And sometimes they just invite us over to meet their nonmember friend. They did that last night but what really happened was, we came in and they had us join their family home evening, taught us to make apple crisp and lit fireworks in the backyard.......it was amazing. Lol they crack me right up. They boys are HILARIOUS and ridiculous.
Someone else proposed to me!! hahahahah So this little boy, Joseph. He's the cutest little guy, about 5. And you know how sometimes there's just that one kid in the primary program that I hear over anyone else? That's him. We have dinner with the family a lot and he and I became best friends quick. He loves the princesses on the back of my name tag, tell everyone I'm the sister with long hair, and sits with me at any occasion permitted. I ask him to do things and he gets really shy and does whatever it is he's supposed to do. except for to not put his dog in my lap while we're eating dinner to keep it from licking my plate. Anyway. We go in to choir yesterday and I sit down just as everyone is settling down to pray, and we make eye contact and smile at each other. Suddenly he looks at his mom and then back at me and shouts with all the energy of his soul "YOU'RE GUNNA MARRY ME, YOU'RE GUNNA MARRY ME!!" Sister Dunn (who's from salt Lake btw) is DYYYYINNG and so is Joseph's mom who tried to shush him to no avail. He was so proud of himself for asking me. He comes to sit by me and the whole choir practice runs up to the front, "mom I'm gunna get her a cookie, she needs a cookie." And then comes over and nuzzles my shoulder. and all sort of other 5 year old banter. It was the most hilarious choir I've ever had. His grandma was the director and took a moment to apologize to everyone "sorry people, Joseph is just in love with Sister Krueger."
.....I'm not sure anything else this week can really top that is is super significant Sister Dunn and I go hiking up baby mountains and running down them for work out in the morning sometimes. Love it!! She has me speak with a southern accent lol
